Gracias al futuro continuo en inglés, podemos explicar los que nosotros, o alguien mas, vamos a estar haciendo dentro de un periodo de tiempo. Se trata de un tiempo verbal muy útil y fácil de aprender.
Si lo trasladamos al idioma español, nos toparemos con expresiones del tipo: “Yo voy a estar comprando un apartamento este año”, “ella va a estar cocinando una buena pizza esta noche”, etc. También se pueden expresar como: “Yo compraré un apartamento este año” o “ella cocinará una buena pizza esta noche”.

1) ¿Cuándo utilizar el futuro simple y el futuro continuo?
El futuro simple, se utiliza para señalar acciones en las que prevalece la voluntad o la intención. El futuro continuo por lo general señala una acción que resulta de una planificación previa. A diferencia del futuro perfecto, el futuro continuo se utiliza para señalar acciones que se cumplirán en momentos específicos o suposiciones sobre el futuro cercano. También suele utilizarse para señalar acciones rutinarias que se desarrollaran en un momento posterior al cual se expresa la acción.
2) ¿Cuáles son los verbos que no se conjugan en futuro continuo?
Los verbos de estado no se utilizan por norma general en el futuro continuo, solamente incluiremos los verbos dinámicos. La formación del futuro continuo necesita de la presencia de verbos auxiliares, según el caso, pueden incluirse algunos verbos modales y conectores de secuencia para complementar el sentido dela oración.
3) ¿Cuál es la estructura de las oraciones en futuro continuo en inglés?
Aquí está la descripción de la estructura general de las oraciones afirmativas, negativas e interrogativas en inglés utilizando Will y verbos en futuro continuo:
- Oraciones afirmativas: Sujeto + will be + verbo en gerundio (-ing) + complemento. Ejemplo: She will be studying for her exams tomorrow.
- Oraciones negativas: Sujeto + will not (won’t) be + verbo en gerundio (-ing) + complemento. Ejemplo: They won’t be attending the party next week.
- Oraciones interrogativas: Will + sujeto + be + verbo en gerundio (-ing) + complemento? Ejemplo: Will you be coming to the concert with us?
Recuerda que el verbo «be» se conjuga con «will» y se agrega «be» antes del verbo principal en gerundio (-ing).
